Fremantle Rowing Club is pleased to announce that our application for performance scholarships for season 2024/25 is open between April 1-April 31 (closing midnight)

There are two categories:
– Non current FRC Members
– Current FRC members

Who can apply

applicants need to be:
– 18-21 y.o on Dec 31 2024
– Studying or undertaking an apprenticeship
– Have previous rowing experience
– Not have previously been awarded a FRC Scholarship 

Scholarship amount

What the scholarship covers
– the FRC club fees for a competitive student – $625

What is not covered
– RowingWA capitation Fee
– Seat Fees
– Any additional costs for traveling for competitions e.g traveling to nationals.

Expectations of scholarship recipients

Recipients of the scholarship be required to complete the following, or will be at risk of forfeiting their scholarship.

– Train consistently at a high standard
– Attend 90% of boat loading and un-loadings
– Attend club maintenance days
– Assist with open days and Learn to Row days.

Application process
To apply, please select from one of the following buttons, and complete the form. As these are performance based scholarships you will need to include your previous rowing experience and best 2km ergo time. 

Once completed the applications will be assessed between the 1st and 7th of May with applicants notified on the 8th of May. 

If you have started rowing with the club during the application window, you will be required to pay a visitors fee of $10 until the scholarships are announced.
